I just calculated that if one follows the Dentist's advice and brushes one's teeth twice daily for 3 minutes, you actually spend 106.5 days brushing your teeth, if you're lucky enough to live to the age of about 70.
...but if you didn't then how much of your life would be wasted away in the waiting room of a dental practice? That amount of exposure to Heat magazine in itself would be enough to make you want to brush for FIVE minutes at a time :p
I tend to find myself slightly out of step with my surroundings. While this is quite possibly due to my innate leftfootedness and nurtured rightfootedness, I chose to ignore this incongruity by drowning out the offbeat with tunes that fit my own rhythm. A potential insomniac, I’ve an inherent penchant for white nights and bright-eyed dawns. I revel in the transitory stages of life and dance when I fear most to stumble. Despite being educated to PhD level, I’m severely doordyslexic and invariably lose my way in carparks. I’ve an affinity with the road less travelled, admittedly largely due to my warped navigational skills. It’s an inadequacy that’s set in motion most of the greater things in my life. My libertarian mindset clashes with the inherently Darwinian genetic imprint of those constituting the societal realm. It’s a realisation that keeps me awake at night. To avert stresses and frustration, I climb up active volcanoes or engage strangers in deep conversation. Such actions are strangely soothing. I trust life to be rather inconsequential in the grander scale of things. This belief only intensifies my zest for life.
