Off the Mark

I don't normally blog about stuff like this, but... What on earth is up with the L-word?!?! The storylines in season 4 are all over the place. They've killed off/dumped/sent away all the foxy ones in the last series and have introduced some seriously questionable characters in the new one. That Papi person?!? Obviously a stunt to get Ourchart promoted. She's nowhere near believable. Jenny desperately needs killing off. Preferably by Cybill Shepherd. It would place the latter in jail, which would make viewing far less nauseating. The very thought of her with Alice.... *cringe*. I made the mistake of watching episode 4 this evening before going to bed, and well... I'm not in bed now am I? The sheer trauma of the opening scene. Nuff said.

Back to more eloquent and elevated blogposts when I've regained my eyesight.

I think its about time I let the script writers in on some of choice storylines from my recent past...

;)

Have you seen season 3? Because compared to that, season 4 is actually not that bad (because season 3 was really really bad). :-)
But I do agree, Papi should die a painful death...

Fraggle... that would merely ban the L-word to the X-rated late-night slot!! *grin*

Moreover, with storylines such as THIS the newbies on the scene might become rather more traumatised than by seeing Cybill Shepherd go down on a twenty-something-year-old ;p

D&TC: I dunno, I thought that whole Alice Goes Mental theme was hilarious. Dana dying... I mean, I haven't cried more since Bambi. But I think we can agree that our current hitlist stands at:

Papi (by choking on sth during sex)
Jenny (by witchburning)
Cybil Shepherd (any method will do just fine)

PS: Fraggle, it would appear you HAVE lost all your blog archives. Which is somewhat of a relief to me, cuz I distinctly remember a few rather cringeful pics and storylines on there involuntarily related to muggins here.(Although nothing quite as plotline-worthy as your recent past, let that be stated clear for the record)

Hurray to the upsides of life *grin*

Agreed. I gave the first 2 episodes a chance and kept hoping for the best.
Now it's just plain bored and definitely have pappi and mom-wanna be Shane in a sudden unexplained death. Jenny should committed suicide a LONG time ago.
Conclusion: miss Dana and Alice's sense of humour and chronicles.
It's pretty much back to watching South of Nowhere's teen lesbians which is openly silly and doesn't have any other pretention than to show hot teen lesbians "kissing".
Season 5 will need private fundings (right!).

Well Bonjour Mlle Cam, long time no see! :-)

I have to say... I'd feel a slight twinge of guilt if -at the ripe old age of 27- I were to drool over the SoN crowd ;-) At least with the L-team, however bad the plotlines, the legal age has been reached *grin*

How can you not love Cybill Shepherd? I think she's the best new character in season 4, which in my opinion is way better than crappy season 3. Papi is ridiculous and Jenny should have been killed off a long time ago, but, to use Phyllis' words:"I particularly like Cybill, she's so vibrant!"

*grin* dykes divided clearly ;-) I guess that's why the L-word remains successful: There's one for everyone. So D&TC, you can have Bette, The GF, you can have Cybill. I'll take Alice and Helena (greed is such a delightful sin)

I read an article this week that Max's alter ego was boo-ed at an L-word convention in London. I know I've declined the invitation to don the Drag King outfit for this weekend's Trouble, but I can't for the life of me understand why lesbians would chose to boo a transgender F2M. Lesbians are a mean crowd I tells ya. Except you lot, of course ;-)

Lol. Trust YOU to fancy her.

Pew et al.,

I definitely agree with the 'ewwwww' factor on L Word...the Cybill Shephard/Alice thing was traumatic...even despite hiding underneath my own sweater, I still could sense the awfulness that was happening on the screen. Surely some kinda warning would have been appropriate...like 'if you value your sanity, look away now'.

lol, but also on the Papi thing...they take away my beloved carmen and put in PAPI??! this is a cruel world.

i dunno about jenny though, she may be mental, and really annoying, but she is growing on me...she's not as bad as season 1.

anyways, sorry for hijacking! do carry on..

*shock* I should write on gay topics more often if it means even Dr.Od comes out of hiding to comment!!!

Totally agree on Carmen. Hmmmm. *reminisces about the scene where Carmen dances for Shane after Shane's dress incident* You know the one ;-)

Greets to yer missus!

lol, indeed, it's a rare moment these days where i peek from under my work-sleep-eat-playWarcraft loop..

On the topic of the missus, signed lease, moving in this weekend. Maturity, here I come...eh heh heh, NOT.

it was the Cybill topic that made me come out of hiding. the mere thought of someone THAT icky being near the lovely Alice...well...it's just upsetting is what it is..

anyways, back to work I must go! Staring at C++ for a few weeks, i think i may have been evil in a former life..
