Lockdown

Mental note to self:
"When going for a "quick" drink with friends in town, make note of city car park closing hours."

It was a bit of a shock to turn up at the car park at 4.12 a.m. this morning to find it barricaded shut.

Second mental note to self:
"When faced with car park shutdown, DO NOT attempt to kick the barriers open in frustration. Persistance is futile."

lol. Have been there. Damn those overly secure carparks. Damn them. Intelligence flies out the window and primal responses replace the stunned incredulous disbelief at one's rotten luck.

It's kind of like theft, or hostage taking!

Yeah had a similar experience myself, but at 9pm. What sort of a jobsworth local council closes the carparks before 9pm??

The solution? We drove through a hedge.

It totally felt like hostage taking. There was simply no way to even get to in the park. I actually apologised to my car when I went to pick it up again yesterday.

Driving through a hedge does sound like a brilliant revenge. Although I suspect I'd have to apologise a hell of a lot more to my lil car. ;-)

It was a hire car, so no apologies needed - apart from to the hire guy of course - there was a twig stuck in the bonnet :)

Well I assume the hedge suffered more than the car ;-)
